What can I say about Payton? She was quite possibly one of the most natural people I have ever had in front of my camera. I tell everybody I work with that they don’t have to worry about posing; that’s my job! I don’t want anyone to think that I’m just going to throw you out into space and expect you to work like a supermodel. I come to each session with a whole flow of posing techniques and directions to get the very best out of each person. Usually after about 10 or 15 minutes everyone starts to relax and realize that they’re in good hands and we work through all of my posing together. Payton didn’t even take three minutes to warm up - this first image was the very first image I took! She has the most engaging and natural smile and seriously I was just in awe of how beautifully she moved and reacted to every direction.

And one of my favorite things she decided to include - she brought all of her favorite books along for our field shoot! I adored every single second of her sessions and all of the time I got to spend getting to know her and her equally adorable mom:)

One of my previous senior families came back for another round:) I did Kellyn’s sister’s senior portraits three years ago and I just adore this entire amazing group of people! They are always up for some fun and so trusting of the process that they make it easy to get amazing images - not to mention that they are all just down right adorable. Kellyn had to include his prize posession Rosie and of course we took some baseball images just for dad. And as expected my afternoon shooting this kid had me laughing the entire time! Killer images of Kellyn to celebrate his senior year!

I’m so behind on blogging - Covid has completely jacked up 2020 in every way, shape and form! I need to get caught up on getting some of these class of 2020 seniors on the blog so here we go:)

Up first - Bailey! I met with Bailey and her mom to discuss senior portraits and one of the first things she menitoned was that she was really just doing this because her mom wanted these pictures. Not the first time I’ve heard this from a senior;) She wasn’t super excited about doing pictures because it just didn’t seem necessary to her.

I get it - you all are the most photographed generation ever! Everyone has a camera on them at all times and the amount of photographs you guys take in a day equals what I took in maybe six months as a teen! Who needs official, boring old posed portraits now right??? Uh, yeah, that’s not what I do anyway - so fast forward to Bailey’s session and nothing makes my heart sign any louder than after viewing their images, someone like Bailey tells me how much fun she had and how much she LOVES her senior portraits. At the end of the day, mom always knows best, right:)

This girl killed it in every image!!!
