Allyssa came in to talk about her senior portraits several months ago. When we first sat down I don’t think she was really sure what direction she wanted to take but after we discussed all of the possibilities she really focused in on two pretty different looks she wanted to capture her senior year at Mallard Creek. First we spent the afternoon in downtown Concord and for our second look we headed out to a big, beautiful open field with a real bohemian feel. Her senior portraits are a beautiful expression of both sides of her fantastic personality and I can’t wait to photograph her whole family together this spring! Megan and her mom first came to my studio before the summer even really started so we had lots of time to plan for her senior portrait session. One of the reasons they planned so far ahead is that this girl is crazy busy, dedicated and driven! I could tell just from our time together that she is going to go amazing places (like she did this summer to India) and do amazing things! On top of being super smart, she’s funny and obviously gorgeous to boot! We got the whole family in for a portrait session in Harrisburg before Megan graduates from North Carolina School of Science and Math in 2020 and we created some beautiful artwork so mom and dad can hold onto this precious time in their lives! It was my absolute joy to get to know all of them and do senior portraits that reflect how beautiful Megan is inside and out!

This gorgeous family came into the studio for a milestone session for their sweet baby girl and of course we always capture family portraits during our time together! They brought their A game in outfits and we spent our time together capturing amazing family image and then moved onto adorable birthday images for their sweet pea who couldn’t have been more fun! I’m so glad they chose their family images for a large collage in their living room and they had so many portraits to pick from! I loved capturing these memories for them!

Ever since I’ve known Cobi, I’ve known that dance was pretty much her whole world! This girl is funny, sweet and talented all in one tiny package that packs a lot of punch when she jumps into the air:) It was so great to have her in the studio to do some dance portraits. She was up for anything and a total joy to capture for these dance portraits. I can’t wait to have her back - I’ll just have to grab her when she’s not traveling and competing all over the state of North Carolina haha!

Ashley came in for her first meeting with her whole family and I knew that right away that this was going to be an amazing time to create her senior session. We worked together over a few weeks to get locations lined up and wardrobe decided on. I love when seniors are so invested in making their session personal and completely unique to their story. Ashley was all about it and we had a plan to not only capture gorgeous senior portraits that celebrated her love of the outdoors but also her passion for scuba diving. I know we got exactly what she was hoping for and when parents tear up at the results than I’ve done my job precisely as I had planned and hoped for! Ashley - thank you for trusting me with your senior portraits and I can’t wait to see what amazing adventures lie ahead for you!
