This gorgeous family came into the studio for a milestone session for their sweet baby girl and of course we always capture family portraits during our time together! They brought their A game in outfits and we spent our time together capturing amazing family image and then moved onto adorable birthday images for their sweet pea who couldn’t have been more fun! I’m so glad they chose their family images for a large collage in their living room and they had so many portraits to pick from! I loved capturing these memories for them!

At this point in my life as a newborn photographer I have clients that have spent years with me and are more than just clients; they are friends and I can't wait until I get to see them again for milestones and occasions. This family is one of those and when they told me last fall that they were expecting again I was thrilled that they asked me to capture their baby boy's first images for them!

We did a part lifestyle/part studio session and I'm just so in love with all of the gorgeous images and wonderful emotions we captured during our time together.

Congratulations to mom, dad and big sister - I'm over the moon for you guys and am once again so honored that you invited me into your home to meet your sweet baby boy!

What can I say about this amazing family - they were just about some of the most adorable and sweetest people I have ever met! That includes their newest addition - meet beautiful Taylor!

While little miss wanted things done on her own terms we worked hard to get some fantastic portraits of her in all her newborn glory - including a wreath shot I designed specifically for her shabby chic nursery!

It was such an honor to capture these moments for them as dad is currently serving in the military and will hopefully be home soon! Until then I hope that these images were a wonderful reminder of the precious girls that are waiting for him back home!

It's FALL PICTURE TIME!!!! 

I know, I know, it's not exactly Fall yet; in fact right now it's 90+ here in Charlotte and everyone is still sweltering at their summer BBQs's, probably trying to squeeze in those last days at the beach and eeeeeking out the final days at the pool before all of the kiddos head back to the classroom.

But before you know it IT WILL BE that time of year when everyone's minds return to school schedules, fall sports, cooler autumn weather (FINALLY!!!!), and looking forward to the holidays to come! With all of that comes the mad scramble to get that final family picture for 2015 that you can use for those gorgeous holiday cards!

I always try to save several weekends in October and even November for family shoots, but inevitably I end up having to turn people away who might not remember to book until the last minute. And I know there are several newborn clients who would love to do family images but don't want a full portrait session since they have just done their newborn images. So with those things in mind this year I'm going to offer a weekend of mini sessions. 

These sessions will be 30 minutes and will include digital files. As many of you know I have redesigned my portrait offerings to focus less on digital files and more on actual prints so this will only be a very limited offering that includes digitals; I realize that makes sense for holiday cards and so this time of year it made sense. I will be at one outdoor location with one holiday set that includes my gorgeous antique sofa and Christmas decor. If families wish to do portraits without the set we will shoot in foliage nearby. 

The amount of sessions WILL BE LIMITED! I may be able to add an additional weekend in later but I will only have 8 slots open for this initial offering and I CANNOT GUARANTEE MORE WILL OPEN beyond that. The dates are October 10th and 11th and sessions will take place in the afternoon/early evening starting at around 4pm.

I had the awesome opportunity to photography this family at their family farm, just a ways north of Charlotte here in North Carolina and let me tell you it was ahhhhmaaaaaaazing!!!

My hubs works with Steph and has been telling me for months how terrific she is. Uhhhhmmmm yeah, he's right she's pretty great:) - and I couldn't believe it when she told me that she didn't have a family portrait with their son Luke!!!! 

My whole family took the trip to Slippery Rock Farms and we got to ride through the pastures and fields down to this very special spot by the creek. As my kids and hubby played and had a ball I spent some time getting to know these guys and capturing their fantastic family connection. And the best part is we got to do it all in a setting that was not only gorgeous but has very personal meaning to them. 

Stephanie - you are a wonder woman and I am so thrilled to have gotten to know you. Thanks for letting me share an afternoon with you all - I hope that the images we got will become a part of your family's treasured heritage!
