Like how is she graduating high school and how does she look like this!!! Mia is all about fashion and had such an amazing sense of personal style she absolutely lit up the sky for our gorgeous sunset sesssion in uptown Charlotte. You’re beautiful inside and out Mia and I’ve loved every minute of watching you turn into this amazing woman! On to your next wonderful adventure and I can’t wait to see the journey you take!

I absolutely fell in love with Kira the first time I met her! She was the epitome of the word bubbly; everytime we met for a session she was positively beaming, Her sweet little smirk made me crack up everytime and we would end up giggling through every set. And oh boy - the sets of images we shot! Camp North End in Charlotte is an amazing backdrop for senior photos and we took advantage of a gorgeous day in North Carolina. We even got to include her shy fur baby in a couple of studio shots! I love it when we can create magic that’s all about the things that are important to you! I also love that mom made sure to tell me that being able to see Kira’s adorable freckles was important to her as photographers in the past had gotten rid of them in images - THE HORROR! I want to showcase everything that makes a client uniquely them!

Kaylee was one of my seniors that I will never forget! I photographed her older sister a few years prior and I absolutely adored working with this whole family so I knew we were going to create some amazing imagery to celebrate her senior year and oh boy was I right! Kaylee knew exactly how she wanted to be photographed and her personality shines through in each of our sessions; including the quick tag on session we did at Hickory Ridge High School to honor her time as an outstanding athlete for the tennis team. I’m so in love with all of her galleries I could hardly narrow down what to post - which is why there are so many images to share here:)

When seniors come to me with specific ideas or asks for their senior portraits I do everything I can to make sure we create custom portraits that capture those things. It’s such a personal thing to have your portrait taken and this time in your lives is such a specific and fleeting moment. So when Jessica wanted outdoor portraits but said she absolutely had to have creek images I knew we were about to have some fun! Despite it being October and just a tad on the cool side she braved the woods, and the climb down and the chilly water to get images that were jaw dropping in every way!

What can I say about Payton? She was quite possibly one of the most natural people I have ever had in front of my camera. I tell everybody I work with that they don’t have to worry about posing; that’s my job! I don’t want anyone to think that I’m just going to throw you out into space and expect you to work like a supermodel. I come to each session with a whole flow of posing techniques and directions to get the very best out of each person. Usually after about 10 or 15 minutes everyone starts to relax and realize that they’re in good hands and we work through all of my posing together. Payton didn’t even take three minutes to warm up - this first image was the very first image I took! She has the most engaging and natural smile and seriously I was just in awe of how beautifully she moved and reacted to every direction.
And one of my favorite things she decided to include - she brought all of her favorite books along for our field shoot! I adored every single second of her sessions and all of the time I got to spend getting to know her and her equally adorable mom:)
